Lewisham Children, Family and Pregnancy Photography

Mary and Cyprian were recommeded by a former client who's family had the pleasure of photographing. They wanted a relaxed photoshoot taken in the comfort of their home based in South East London, Lewisham. At the time Mary was 38 weeks pregnant so her bump was looking nice and round, she wanted to book the shoot in for the following week but we decided we didn't want to cut it too fine!

As I always do, we had a couple of chats on the phone to discuss exactly what the couple wanted from the shoot, Mary even emailed me some sample pictures taken form magazines that she wanted to duplicate. Cyprian also wanted to be in the photos which was great for me as I love to photograph the bump with the dad to be.
I travelled toothier home with my professional lighting and cameras and set up a studio in their front room. They wanted some photos with the room as the background and some with a black background to give the photos a more 'studio' look. As well as this we decided to go out to the local park for a couple photograph whilst the weather was good.

You wouldn't know it from the images but Mary was very nervous infront of the camera, however she was absolutely brilliant and the the session lots of fun and she looked amazing. Cyprian was also a natural and helped Mary ease into the photos and even did some pretty good posing himself.

A couple of months after the photoshoot I was passing through Lewisham when I received an Impromptu call from Cyprian asking if I could pop in for a quick photo of their gorgeous baby boy that he could give to Mary for a surprise as she was having a sleep to catch up on her sleepless night. I set up my lights as quickly (and quietly) as possible and got a lovely portrait of baby James as Mary snoozed next door!
